My maple syrup days began helping two of my uncles boil about 400 taps worth of sap on a wood fired 2’x6’ G.H. Grimm Evaporator in a 10’x16’ sugarhouse. I was only 14 at the time and didn't know this would be a start to something much bigger. While working 40+ hours a week for a fortune 500 company, I own and operate two small businesses; Maple Tech Tools and Mudtech Incorporated. Mudtech Inc. Custom ATV Fabrication builds and sells aftermarket parts and accessories for ATV’S and UTV’s. I have always been fascinated with maple syrup production which may be in part because I have a bit of a sweet tooth. In 2014 I found myself helping a neighbor with his new 7,400 tap sugarbush and oil fired 3’x12’ computer-controlled evaporator. Over the past several years i have had the opportunity to connect and build relationships with multiple producers big and small providing them with the tools they need to set up their Sugarbush. I have also had the opportunity to connect and work alongside our dealers to help serve their customers. With a Mechanical Engineering degree and a constant need to design and build things I found myself building the tools we needed. One tool turned into two and I now have a well-rounded product line that continues to grow.
